Theory-Guided Enhancement of CO2 Reduction to Ethanol on Ag–Cu Tandem Catalysts via Particle-Size Effects

چکیده

In the CO2 reduction reaction, design of electrocatalysts that selectively promote alcohols over hydrocarbons (e.g., ethanol ethylene) hinges on understanding pathways and specific sites form alcohols. Herein, theoretical considerations guide state-of-the-art synthesis well-defined catalysts to show higher selectivity toward is achieved Cu(110) edge compared Cu(100) terraces. Specifically, we study catalytic behavior Cu nano-cubes (Cucub) different sizes in framework tandem catalysis with CO-producing Ag nano-spheres. We predict experimentally find smaller Cucub possess for view their larger edge-to-faces ratio fact ethylene produced at terraces while step edges. These results call synthetic developments nanostructures exposing only sites, such as hollow cubic nanocages, further increase selectivity. More generally, this encourages application nano a bridge between theory experiments electrocatalysis.

Effects of Temperature and Particle Size Distribution on Barite Reduction by Carbon monoxide Gas

In this research, a mineral barite powder was reduced by carbon monoxide gas and the effects of reduction time and temperature was investigated as well as barite particle size. Results showed that the best result would be feasible when the barite particle sizes are between (-70 +100) in mesh scale. The barite reduction could reach the maximum level (98%) after reduction by carbon monoxide at 85...

Particle Size Effects on Hydro-Cyclone Performance

The hydrocyclone has a very important roll in industrial separation. The consideration of its behavior is very important for design. In this investigation, behavior of water flow and particles trajectory inside a hydrocyclone has been considered by means of numerical and experimental methods, and results have been compared together. To have a numerical simulation, a CFD software was used, and f...

Particle size dependence on oxygen reduction reaction activity of electrodeposited TaO(x) catalysts in acidic media.

The size dependence of the oxygen reduction reaction activity was studied for TaO(x) nanoparticles electrodeposited on carbon black for application to polymer electrolyte fuel cells (PEFCs). Compared with a commercial Ta2O5 material, the ultrafine oxide nanoparticles exhibited a distinctively high onset potential different from that of the bulky oxide particles.

Interactional effects of bubble size, particle size, and collector dosage on bubble loading in column flotation

The success of flotation operation depends upon the thriving interactions of chemical and physical variables. In this work, the effects of particle size, bubble size, and collector dosage on the bubble loading in a continuous flotation column were investigated. In other words, this work was mainly concerned with the evaluation of the true flotation response to the changes in the operating varia...
